Dubai: Godolphin's Rewilding, third behind Workforce in Saturday's Epsom Derby, is likely to have his next start in the St Leger.

Fellow Godolphin stable companions Al Zir and Buzzword, who were sixth and eighth respectively, could also be earmarked for major races.

"I thought that Rewilding ran a very good race," trainer Mahmoud Al Zarouni told the Godolphin website.

"Rewilding didn't look like he handled the course very well, especially coming down the hill, but he did stay on well towards the end.

"I think that he might go for the St Leger at Doncaster in September."

Commenting on Buzzword, Al Zarouni said: "Buzzword ran another solid race.

"I think that he can get a mile and a half and we will try him at that distance again."

Buzzword's rider Ahmad Ajtebi said the Epsom undulations did not suit the horse.

"He stayed the trip and was in good form, but I don't think the track and the ground helped him," he said.

"He would be better on a more level track but I am looking forward to riding him again."

Al Zir's trainer Saeed Bin Surour was confident the horse had a promising future.

"He's still a big baby and I think he's more a horse for the future," he said.

"I think later in the season he'll be a better horse. Kieren (Fallon) said he was happy with him, with the way he finished his race."

Jockey Kieren Fallon agreed, saying: "Al Zir will be a very good horse — he just needs time."

Meanwhile, Colonial ran a brave race to come home second in the Group Three Prix du Palais-Royal over seven furlongs at Longchamp, France, on Saturday.
