Neale tops UGA Men's Order of Merit

Dubai: Joel Neale of Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club underlined his credentials as one of the leading amateur golfers in the UAE by topping the 2007-2008 season UAE Golf Association's (UGA) Men's Order of Merit (OOM) supported by Gulf News.

Joel Neale who plays off a scratch handicap, posted a total of 145 points to top the OOM table at the end of the last event - the BMW Montgomerie Men's Open, held recently at The Montgomerie, Dubai.

Matthew Turner of Emirates Golf Club - the only plus two handicap player in the UAE and topper of last season's 2007 UGA Men's Order of Merit table, posted a total of 135.5 points to a closely battled second place on this year's OOM table.
