Emirates official airline of Hero Honda Indian Open

Dubai: Continuing its support to key golfing events across the world and its commitment to India, Emirates will once again be the official airline of the Hero Honda Indian Open.

The tournament which tees off at the Delhi Golf Club today attracted a stellar line-up of golfers, including defending champion Jyoti Randhawa, who is looking for a hat-trick in the Hero Honda Indian Open; Jeev Milkha Singh; Asian Tour Order of Merit leader Mark Brown; Emirates-sponsored golfers Ross Bain and Yasin Ali and PGA US Tour star Daniel Chopra.

Emirates' golfing year began in January with the Dubai Desert Classic followed by the Asian Open in Shanghai in April, before heading to Europe for the Austrian Open and the BMW International in Munich.

Salem Obaidullah, Emirates' Senior Vice-President, Commercial Operations, West Asia, Indian Ocean and Africa, said: "We are proud to be the official airline of the Hero Honda Indian Open 2008.
