Gupta, tied on points in Division A, bags second after count back as Mackenzie and Amarnani also win
Dubai: Michael Harradine was at his consistent best to win best gross and net in the second edition of the BMW-Rivoli Monthly Medal at the Emirates Golf Club.
The scratch golfer fired a gross 74 over the Faldo course. Harradine carded a one over par 74; he started with eight straight pars and then dropped a shot at the 355-yard par four ninth.
He immediately made amends with a birdie on the 10th; a further bogey on the 12th resulted in his one over par tally. His net 74 earned him top prize in Division A (handicap 0-10).
Rohit Gupta also carded a 74 but had to settle for runners-up place after a card count back with Lionel Smith a further shot back in third.
Keenly contested
Division B (handicap 11-20) was keenly contested with Peter Mackenzie signing for a three under par 70 to steal top prize by two shots from Naveed Kamal, with Brian Edwards in third after a 74.
Prem Amarnani clinched Division C (handicap 21-34) with an excellent two under par 71.
BMW and Rivoli have teamed up to sponsor the 22 Monthly Medals across both Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.
