Ayres's level par delivers victory in Westar Medal

Dubai: Jenny Ayres triumphed in the December addition of the Ladies Monthly Medal sponsored by Westar Properties.

Ayres signed for a nett 73, level par, over the Faldo course, following ten bogeys and eight pars, a consistent performance matching her ten handicap.

Carolyn Thompson continued her fine form this season, despite having been cut six shots in the past month, managing to card a nett 74 to take runners-up place in the Silver Division 'A' (handicap 0-12). Val Pullan, another form player following last month's victory, carded an 80 for the best gross of the day.

Yong Bok Chun clinched the Silver Division 'B' (handicap 13-20) with a net 77, one shot clear of Mihee Kil. Janet Curtis matched that tally to win Bronze Division (handicap 21-36).
