Dubai: Multi-faceted Anna Rawason has a mission: to raise the profile of the women's game, make it more attractive and fashionable ... and, finally, a big hit.

Shades of her colourful personality are sure to light up the Dubai Ladies Masters when the Australian pin-up returns to compete in the Dubai Ladies Masters which gets under way at the Emirates Golf Club from December 8 to 14.

"There is nothing wrong with the old-school golf. It's cool - but we have to move with the times. I love fashion, like to dress well, the glamour isn't the only thing that I want to bring to women's golf," said Rawson, dubbed 'Golf Babe of the Year 2007' by readers of GOLF Weekly.

"Me, personally, I would like to win lots of tournaments."

"Although golf is my job, it also defines me as a person and I love the classical aspect of the game. It is a game of style and challenge. You can always improve but never achieve perfection," said Rawson, fresh from her rookie year on the LPGA.

Featuring in 13 tournaments on the LPGA Tour this year, Rawson has ranked in $62,798 in earnings and her best finish being tied 10th in the Bell Micro LPGA Classic. "Now I am looking forward to returning to Dubai "to join in all the fun."

"I missed the cut in 2006 and last year I finished tied 65th. Obviously, I would like to sign off with a better result. Let's see how things unfold," said Rawson, who turned pro in December 2004.

"I like the (Majlis) course, the layout is superb and the greens are great. I am fascinated by the 18th hole with all those trees and the big lake. It's quite an interesting hole to finish. On the whole the course is challenging."

The 27-year-old also lauded golf in DUBAi - the promoters and organisers of the Dubai Desert Classic - for doing a fantastic job.
