No regrets for Brand Beckham over US move

Dubai: David Beckham says he has never regretted his decision to move to the United States.

The former England skipper made his debut in a Milan shirt on Tuesday, weeks after the Italian giants agreed a loan deal with MLS side LA Galaxy, who snapped him up from Real Madrid two seasons ago.

Beckham's debut coincided with Milan's 5-4 Dubai Football Challenge win over Hamburg and he is expected to turn up for the Rossoneri when they resume their Serie A campaign against Roma on Sunday.

"I always try to have no regrets in my life and my career and I don't think I've ever had to regret anything until now. I made the decision to move to Los Angeles two years ago and I can say that I'm happy I made that decision. I've had a good time there," the 33-year-old said.

One of the most successful footballers of his generation both on and off the field, Beckham is looking to have a good time during his brief stint in the red and black of Milan. And he says should he be picked by Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti, he won't hesitate to give his 110 per cent.

"Milan are a very big club and I now have the privilege of playing for one of the biggest clubs in Italy and perhaps the whole world. I have enjoyed my time with Milan so far.

"The training sessions have been great and playing for this club and these fans will definitely be great for me," said Beckham, whose Dubai trip has been extended until Friday due to heavy snow in Italy.

Beckham will be on his own when he makes Milan his temporary home, as the rest of his family will move back to the United States, where his children will resume school and stay with their mother Victoria.

"My wife was with me during my physical and medical tests, but she will go back to America with the kids who have to resume school there.

"Victoria will travel between Milan and Los Angeles once or twice every week to be with me for a few days and I'm excited about that," he said.
