No easy ride for any team, Mouaz says

Muscat: Saudi Arabian striker Malek Mouaz feels there are no weak teams or pushovers in the Gulf Cup and that no match is an easy outing.

"We came to win the title. We are capable of that, but it will not be easy because all the teams have improved and prepared well to achieve the same goal. All the matches will be hard-fought and difficult, especially the first one," Mouaz told Gulf News here yesterday.

"The UAE, Qatar and Yemen, who will play against us in the same group, are all strong teams and nobody can predict who will earn promotion to the semifinals, though we have a good chance," he added.

Regarding news about the sacking of their head coach Nasir Al Jawhar and the appointment of Brazilian Zico, Mouaz said: "Nasir is like a father or a big brother to the players and he will not leave the team."
