Al Baradei to present report on Iran to IAEA Board

Vienna: The UN nuclear watchdog chief Mohammad Al Baradei is due to present a report on Iran's nuclear programme to the quarterly meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors on Monday.

The focus of the International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-nation board meeting will be on Iran's refusal to
suspend uranium enrichment activities and linked problems.

Diplomats familiar with the agency's Iran file said before the closed meeting that Tehran continues to refuse IAEA
requests to put up cameras that would give agency monitors a full view of in its underground hall at Natanz, which
Iran says will ultimately house 54,000 enriching centrifuges _ enough to produce dozens of nuclear weapons a
year.

The participants are to discuss promotion of international nuclear cooperation, security of nuclear substance transfer, management of nuclear wastes, nuclear technology and programs, and the other topics related to safeguards regime.

They are also to discuss issues related to nuclear activities of North Korea.
