Dubai : A cracking free-kick from Bakhit Saad ensured the UAE's 1990 World Cup heroes beat Rangers 1-0 to end the group stages of the Emirates Dubai Football 7s Legends tournament with a win. The Emiratis had earlier rallied back to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw.
The professionals tournament witnessed Olympiacos, Arsenal, Leeds United and AC Milan all progressing to the knockout stage of the competition with unbeaten records.
In the quarterfinals, Pool A toppers Olympiacos will face Celtic, while second-placed Arsenal take on Brondby. Leeds face Blackburn, while Milan meet Dutch giants Feyenoord.
In the amateur tournaments, Soccer Dubai clinched the under-9's title with a 1-0 victory over E Sport, while Jebel Ali Centre beat Abu Dhabi Thistle 2-1 for the under-11's crown.
