Dubai: Al Wasl A team started the defence of their title at the Falak Holding Men's Tennis League with an overpowering win against newcomers Super Sports Mina Seyahi A 5-1 in Division 1 of the competition this week.

The 32nd edition of this annual league, sponsored by Emirates Sports Stores and Prince. The 21 participating teams have been divided into four divisions to battle it out over a 10-week period.

Jean Francois Danican and Yves Lemaieba were in awesome form for Wasl A winning their opening singles matches over Christian Dietrich and Samir Abdelkader.
