Al Jazira sign Dialo

Al Jazira have signed a six-month contract with Mali midfielder Mamado Dialo only hours before the deadline of the second phase of registering foreign professional players.

Dialo, who was featuring in his country's team in the finals of the African Nations Cup last week, will replace Bonaventure Kalou of Cote D'Ivoire who started the season with the club but failed to produce the expected standard of the game.

Dialo was a player with French club Nantes. Al Jazira, in second place on the First Division League standings, are looking to take first place when they face the leaders, Al Shabab, next week in the last matches of the league's first round. Al Jazira are only one point behind the leaders who will host the summit encounter today in Dubai.
