Event open to public from 2pm at Creek Park

Dubai: As part of the series of events lined up to celebrate the 35th UAE National Day on a grand scale, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is organising an action sports event, XGames Dubai, from today until Sunday.

The exciting and fun-filled event is being sponsored by Bom Bom. It will be open to the public from 2pm to 10pm daily during the celebrations.

Addressing a press conference in Dubai yesterday, DTCM Manager Missions, Hamad Bin Mejrin, Shaikha Al Mutawa, Chairperson, National Day 35 Committee at DTCM, and Rashid Al Mazrouei, Supervisor of XGames, said the much-awaited event is expected to attract thousands of spectators drawn from various nationalities.

XGames Dubai-2006 will feature prominent sportsmen of this field from the US, Europe and South Africa.

Shaikha Al Mutawa said the event has been designed to provide entertainment to all members of the family, especially children and keeping in mind the strong interest among the UAE nationals and residents in action sports.
