UAE cricketers beat Rufi in Sharjah Ramadan event

Sharjah: The UAE National Cricket Team put in a solid team performance to chalk up a tense two-wicket victory over Rufi Real Estate in the 21st Sharjah Ramadan Twenty20 tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, at the Sharjah stadium.

Meanwhile, Transgulf, aided by a brilliant five-wicket haul from Gergory Vaughan and a fluent half century from Esmail Mohammad, defeated Al Barraq by nine runs.

In the Dulsco Ramadan tournament being held at Dubai's Zabeel Park, Emirates Islamic Bank defeated Al Hathboor by seven wickets while Emrill Services posted a 58-run victory over Al Nasa Multiplex.

In Ajman, Fortune Group beat XI on Top by 30 runs in the Trucape Kibsons Twenty20 Ramadan tournament organised by Ajman Cricket Council being held at the Al Jurf grounds.

Batting first, Fortune group piled up 148 before they were all out in the eighteenth over. Khurram was the top scorer on 26.

Akshay claimed three wickets while Prasanna picked up two for XI on Top.

Bowled out

Top could muster only 118 before they were bowled out by Fortune Group in the eighteenth over. Mohammad Shehzad and Iftikar claimed three wickets each for Fortune Group.

In the second match of the day, Emirates NBD beat Pearl CC by six wickets. Pearl scored 104 aided by an unbeaten 32 from Shoaib Butt. Don Eranga and Akbar Rana claimed two wickets each for Emirates NBD.

In reply, man of the match Mohsin Ali guided Emiartes NBD to victory, remaining at the crease on 56 while wickets fell at regular intervals at the other end.
