New Medical Centre score big win over Emirates Cricket Board Blues

Sharjah: The New Medical Centre (NMC) defeated ECB Blues by nine wickets in the 33rd Bukhatir League A Division Tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council and played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Batting first, ECB Blues, were bowled out for 93 in 36.5 overs.

Arjun offered some worthwhile resistance to the nagging NMC attack.

Abdul Rehman (12) was the only other player who could cross the double-figure mark.

Modest target

Dhananjaya and Shadeep Silva teamed up effectively, taking three wickets each to rip through the tentative ECB Blues batting line-up.

NMC, in reply, raced to the modest target in just 13.2 overs with opener Indika Sampath remaining unbeaten on 45 off 37 balls with two fours.

Niresh Fernando (18) and Sandeep Shetty (26 not out off 19 balls with two fours and one six) also flayed the ECB Blues attack.

In the inaugural match of 1st Hamriya Corporate Cricket Tournament in Hamriya Syed Mohsin Ali of National Bank of Dubai put up an excellent allround show against Uni-lever.

This tournament is being played under the auspicious of Sharjah Cricket Council.

National Bank of Dubai beat Unilever by 5 wickets.

Unilever scored 193 runs in the allotted 23 over after sohail scored 82.

He was well supported by Rajeeb 32 and Naveen 25 runs.

For NBD Naeem and Mohsin did the damage taking three wickets each while Parvaiz and Nazir picked up two wickets each.

In reply NBD scored 195 runs in 21.5 overs through Sohail's unbeaten knock of 82 runs and man of the match Mohsin's blistering 66 runs in just 36 balls.
