Natasha steers UAE to victory over Oman

Dubai: Vice-captain Natasha Michael Cherriath cracked a sparkling unbeaten half century to guide the UAE to an emphatic 73-runs win over Oman in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) under-19 women's tournament on on Saturday.

According to information from Thailand, the UAE won the toss and posted 133 runs through Natasha's knock and restricted Oman to 60 runs.

She bagged the player of the match for the second time in this tournament. Natasha had won the player of the match through an allround show in the UAE's victory over Thailand too and is the leading scorer of the tournament with 111 runs.

The UAE got off to a good start with openers Sneha Sankar and Monique D'Souza putting on 49 runs. Monique got run out for 16. Natasha joined Sneha and took the score to 58 when Sneha too fell for 15.

Natasha hit seven boundaries during her 56–ball stay at the wicket. Charvi chipped in with an unbeaten 17 with two hits to the boundary. The pair put on an unbeaten 75 runs partnership for the third wicket.

Natasha clean bowled Oman opener Meera Lakshmi for a duck. Thirumalai Malitah got the other opener Ridhi Shanbhag out for 5, by having her caught by Natasha.
