Dubai: Hosts Dulsco Sports Club stormed into the quarterfinals of the Dulsco Corporate Cricket Tournament defeating Al Hathboor by eight wickets in the last league match played under floodlights at Zabeel Park on Monday night.

Mukhtar hit an unbeaten 72 runs while Annis remained unconquered on 33 and Dulsco reached the target of 159 target set by Al Hathboor in just 16 overs.

Earlier, Al Hathboor elected to bat after winning the toss. Their openers Hemanth and Levin gave Hathboor a comfortable start putting on 83 runs for the first wicket. However, disaster struck Hathboor when both their openers departed on 83 in the 10th and 11th over. Hemanth made 38 from 32 balls with the help of one six and three fours while Levin contributed 39 from 24 balls and hit three sixes and one boundary. Hemanth was stumped off Arvind's bowling while Levin was bowled by Annis.

In the Bukhatir League at Sharjah Stadium, Saqib Ali turned in a superb all-round performance while Niresh Fernando hammered a solid half-century as New Medical Centre (NMC) cruised past Seven Seas by 81 runs.

Saqib hammered a fluent 75 and then snared three wickets for 27 to help his side seal an easy win.
