Dubai Royals and Al Manal reach Dulsco Ramadan semifinals

Dubai: Dubai Royals Cricket Club defeated Active IT Distribution by 18 runs to reach the semifinals of the Dulsco Ramadan Open Cricket Tournament at Zabeel Park cricket ground.

In another semifinal, Al Manal Development shocked pre-tournament favourites Danube by 13 runs. Electing to bat first, the Dubai Royals put on 157 for 5 and bowled out their rivals for 139 in 19.2 overs.

The Dubai Royals lost their opener Tarif for two runs. However, one-down Amjad Rashid and Amjad boosted Dubai Royals' innings with a 78-run partnership.

Amad was caught off Shahid's bowling after scoring 46. Rashid scored a half century (58) and took the score past the 100-mark. The Dubai Royals ended their innings losing five wickets and setting a 158-run victory target. Active IT Distribution was bowled out for 139. Pavan picked up 3 for 20.

In the Hyderabad Ramadan Floodlit Twenty20 tournament the Al Jabeen Club pulled off a dramatic last-ball win over 3G Real Estate while Orbit CC beat SS Lootah by five-wickets to reach the semifinals.
