Prince Harry's bad heir day

Britain's Prince Harry has put his foot in his royal mouth. The third in line to the throne has been forced to apologise for using racist language after he filmed himself calling an army colleague a "Paki", and telling another he looked like a "raghead".

The video, obtained by the News of the World newspaper, plunges the 24-year-old prince into another stinging controversy. Four years ago he attended a costume party dressed as a Nazi officer and sporting a swastika.

As a 24-year-old, it's possible to excuse Harry's remarks as the misspoken words of an immature young man forced to grow up under intense international and domestic pressure.

Prince charming Harry is not. Let's put it down to a bad heir day.
