R’n’b superstar Rihanna will ring in 2010 with a New Year’s Eve concert in Abu Dhabi, organisers have confirmed.
The singer - who released her latest single, Russian Roulette, last month, will perform at Emirates Palace's West Lawn on December 31st as the headline act for a night of hip-hop, pop and r’n’b, organizers Flash confirmed on Sunday.
The 21-year-old hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons earlier this year when she was beaten by her then-boyfriend, singer Chris Brown. After lying low since the attack in February, she recently returned with her single and will release her fourth album, Rated R, on November 23.
She'll perform to an expected crowd of 15,000 at Emirates Palace, and her gig will be followed by sets from international DJs including hip-hop star Green Lantern, who will perform in the La Rumba zone.
Flash could not immediately provide information as to when tickets will go on sale.
