Sandance line-up grows as acts join Florence + The Machine at beach music festival

Florence has got more than a machine: British band Keane, Groove Armada and Nightmares on Wax, have been added to the Sandance line up for Friday May 10. The festival takes place on the sand at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai.
Keane, featuring Tim Rice-Oxley, Richard Hughes, Jesse Quin and Tom Chaplin, make their return to the UAE’s shores with a set showcasing their indie rock tunes, promoting their most recent album, Strangeland. They performed in Dubai in 2009.
Groove Armada -- aka Andy Cato and Tom Findlay -- are a familiar name to Dubai clubbers, having have performed in the UAE several times. Chill-out act Nightmares on Wax is DJ George Evelyn, who describes his style as merging “soul and hip hop together”.
Tickets, Dh295 (Dh350 on the door) and Dh500 VIP from online ticket retailers, and from Virgin Megastores and selected EPPCO & ENOC stations later this week, organisers tell us.
