Seven of the top pictures posted on Gulf News Facebook page

Every month over a hundred pictures are posted by readers on Gulf News Facebook page.

Each reader tries his or her best to submit the best picture, while keeping the theme in mind. In the month of February, we gave our readers a chance to submit photographs following two themes — "winter wonderland" and their "favourite hobby".

K.P. Devadasan, Picture Editor, then looked through these pictures and selected the best seven that are published here.

One of the winners, Sebastian Kailash, was overjoyed after being selected.

He said: "I would like to extend my gratitude to Gulf News for picking my photograph as one of the winning ones of the month. It means so much to me as an amateur photographer to receive this recognition."

Noel Garcia took this photo at the Tourist Club Area, Abu Dhabi. He said:‘Toy photography is what consumes my time as a hobby. It is a challenge forme to create a life-like scene using my toy collection as a subject.’

Gulf News reader Hitesh Assudani said: ‘I took this picture of seagulls atthe Dubai Creek. The birds approached me as I was feeding them breadcrumbs.’

Gulf News reader Yasmin Hajara sent this photograph of artwork thatshe made using ribbons. She said: ‘My hobby is to make home decoritems. This is one of my favourite works made with ribbons!’
