12-member Dubai residency team to tackle urgent applications during holidays

Dubai: A team of 12 officers from Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) will work during holidays and off days to tackle urgent application.

Team members can even work from outside the DNRD office if need be, said Brigadier Obaid Bin Suroor, deputy director of the department and head the team.

Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of DNRD, said on Sunday that work went on smoothly on Sunday, a public holiday to mark Hijri New Year.

Major General Al Merri said all urgent transactions submitted by public at the DNRD were ready within a short time.

"The DNRD team, which is working during holidays, will accept urgent applications from public from 10am till 1pm," he said.

He said the DNRD headquarters will receive public during the New Year holiday: people can approach Abu Hail centre, Jebel Ali DNRD office, Hatta DNRD office, Al Safa clinic DNRD counter, and passport counter at Dubai International Airport.
