It's ace to hear people starting to comment on my shape starting to look different and that I am waking up feeling more energetic and positive...
As much as I initially didn't think the life coaching was really for me, when I think about what we discuss after the class, I realise quite how much I have discovered. This week, for example, I was talking with Carolyn about the six basic human needs – certainty, variety, significance, love/connection, growth and contribution.
It became glaringly obvious that five of those basic needs were easily met for me and that the category of growth left a big gaping hole. We discussed why this was and I think the reason is that for the past two years, as I haven’t been working full time I haven't really learnt much about anything (other than parenting and invoicing). I haven't read many books, I haven't really sat and watched the news, or spent hours reading the Daily Mail online (high brow). I don't really feel as though I've had much mentally challenging growth at all. I've already started to make really positive steps to start patching up that growth gap and that is SO exciting.
It was interesting talking tonight with the other girls on the Life Challenge about the life coaching and everyone talks about this 'aha moment' which seems to be the high point of the sessions. I'm not entirely sure what an aha moment is... I hope I get mine soon.
