Wednesday
Steve Kotey @ Trilogy
While not a member of Chicken Lips, Kotey is sort of their roving international DJ ambassador. So expect to hear plenty of bass-shuddering breaks, big-room disco and funky house.

Elefant Sounds @ Touch
DJ Solo drops by the Bur Dubai club for an evening of funk, breaks and hip-hop all mixed to perfection. Don't expect a big crowd, but for a midweek aural diversion, this can't be beat.

Thursday

James Zabiela @ Trilogy
Zabiela is a whizz behind the decks and certainly knows how to get a floor moving. Widescreen breaks and twisted house are the order of the day, as well as top notch mixing. Fans of progressive need to check this out.

Phil Asher @ The Apartment
Studio 186 is one of the few nights in Dubai that eschews the obvious and concentrates on quality. Tonight is no exception with the superb Phil Asher set to deliver a set high on soulful, deep house. Quality all the way.

Friday

Paul Jackson @ Trilogy
One of the most underrated DJs around, Jackson likes to keep things on a house tip while never being afraid of veering into other genres. This should be good with support from Frederick Stone and DJ Bliss.

Residents night @ Peppermint
Madjam and Afroboogie - often the best thing about Peppermint - combine to deliver an evening of bleepy house and scorching electro. Ignore the sunglass-wearing posers and get down to one of the best soundsystems in Dubai.

Cheese @ Chi @ The Lodge
One of the most popular nights in Dubai thanks to the soundtrack of gorgonzola, the Lodge is always rammed for this monthly night. And with this being the fourth birthday, our advice is to get there early.

Stereo
Tontelas - En Do (Gamm)
Gamm comes up trumps again with this slice of dubbed out funk courtesy of Tontelas. Sweet and fried in equal measure, this is downtempo at its best.

Peven Everett - Sexy Make Up (Defected)
One of the smoothest men in house delivers another classic cut. Everett's vocals slide all over some sweet two-step house. One for those who like their house soulful.

Ursula 1000 - Electrik Boogie (Eighteenth Street)
The soundtrack to a Prince after-party, this is a quality dollop of electro-fused funk that cannot fail to get a floor moving. Slap bass and vocoder vocals bring this to the next level. We like!
