Dubai: Etisalat has further cut the renewal fee for Wasel (pre-paid) customers to Dh50, with 100 per cent cash-back offer.

The promotion, which kicked off on October 15, is in response to the practically free SIM cards from rival operator du.

In June, etisalat slashed the annual renewal Wasel service fee by 40 per cent to Dh100, alongside a 100 per cent cash-back offer.

From October 1, it has also announced a 54 per cent reduction in new Wasel pre-paid SIM cards from Dh165 to Dh75, which now also comes with Dh75 free credit.

Khalifa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice- President Marketing, etisalat, said that a revamp allows fixed and mobile customers to enjoy discount of up to 60 per cent on international calls during the "super off-peak" hours, which has been extended from 1am-7am to 11pm-7am.
