Lara works her charm on the web
You would think Bollywood would be a cakewalk for Lara Dutta, but no! Despite winning the coveted Miss Universe beauty title in 2000, the lady has failed to make an impact on the big screen. Her few small roles here and there haven’t done much for her diminishing acting career.

But now, with a broken heart and a few flops to her name, the lady is going the extra mile to win over her fan base. For starters, she’s trying to attract fans by writing on the networking site Twitter. And, like we thought, the lady starts off by remembering her Miss Universe days, maybe because those were her only real achievement.

"Found some amazing stuff I wore during my Miss Universe days. Laundered and still in their dress bags, unopened for the last eight years!! Vintage," she wrote on her Twitter page.

A later tweet read – "First  day of work post the flu.  Shooting for GQ, the magazine with the very extremely talented Tarun Vishwa!"

Looks like Dutta has figured out that the golden rule in showbiz is to always stay in the news, and that if no one is writing about you it’s impertinent that you write about yourself. So she has taken it upon herself to inform the world about her minor B-town moves. We wonder if talent can be substituted with marketing tactics? Only time will tell.

No love lost here!
A little birdie tells us that after going their separate ways, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have decided to stay just "good friends"! And judging by their recent outing to a fashion show, the two seemed completely at ease with their new status. We guess it’s all fair in love!

Urmila on the ramp
After her saucy role in Himesh Reshammiya’s Karzz, Urmila Matondkar went into hiding. Well, that is until we spotted her modelling Jaya Rathore’s glamorous designs. We have learnt that the lady is spending more time on the catwalk now than in front of the camera due to lack of any interesting roles.

"I’ve reached a stage in my career where I do not want to act in films that are not worth my while,” claims the 35-year-old actress. So until an interesting project comes her way, the lady is working on her glam factor.

“I’ve always liked walking the ramp because it involves style and glamour.”

With so many talented new faces hitting B-town, we think the lady is just trying to make a graceful exit from the acting world!
