Singing  in Iraq
After an absence of 11 years, Lebanese singer Najwa Karam will visit Iraq once again to perform for  her Iraqi fans, just as she did in early 1998. Najwa will hold concerts on December 3 and 4 in the cities of Arbil and Sulaymaniyah in the north of Iraq, before embarking on a tour of the United States.

Nancy’s ballgame
Nancy Ajram added one more feather to her cap. Along with being a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and a campaigner against breast cancer, the star has taken on a new role. She is an ‘official fan’ of the Egyptian football team and a strong supporter of their bid to qualify for the World Cup Finals in 2010. The singer launched a song about Egypt and her love for the country while the football team was preparing for a qualifying match against Algeria last week. Egypt defeated Algeria 2-0 in the match. Nancy had earlier expressed her wish that Algeria  would succeed as well and make it to the next round as they’re  both Arab countries!

Trying times For Nawal Al Zoghbi Nawal Al Zoghbi has been awarded temporary custody of her three children by estranged husband Elie Deeb. Her daughter Tia and twins Georgy and Joey will move to their mother’s house until the divorce is finalised. Meanwhile, their father has been granted visitation rights on alternate weekends. The Lebanese singer was outraged when her husband allowed a magazine to conduct an interview with the children. Nawal thought it was very inappropriate, because it interfered with the hearing and placed the children in the middle of the legal battle. We’ll just have to wait for the final outcome!
