It seems like playdate for the Richard Gutierrez-Marian Rivera starrer My Lady Boss? will have to be pushed back a bit further.

It was supposed to open in cinemas last month, but had to be rescheduled to avoid a head-on collision with It Takes a Man and a Woman, which proved to be a wise decision since the John Lloyd Cruz-Sarah Geronimo movie became a major hit.

But pushing it a bit further could hurt the film’s commercial success, and would eventually be a big letdown for Gutierrez and Rivera who both have to score a movie hit soon to allay fears their box office draw is waning.

Political ambitions

In other news, Kris Aquino has revealed she has plans to enter politics in 2016. Aquino hinted at running for the gubernatorial post in her hometown of Tarlac. Aquino may leave showbiz after all.

Sources close to the multimedia star say she might rethink her career to focus more on public service TV programmes in preparation for her political ambitions. At a recent gathering where she endorsed the candidacy of her senatorial picks for the coming local elections this month, Aquino hinted at her plans by saying she wants to win in 2016.

On a roll

After her successful series Sana Ikaw Na Nga (Hope It Is You) where she was launched to stardom, Andrea Torres will have a follow up show, With a Smile, where she will be paired with popstar Christian Bautista.

The light romantic drama will be Torres’ second lead assignment, and the young actress is excited about acting alongside Bautista, whom she considers her singing idol. Although it took some months before she got her next major project, Torres had a couple guest appearances in other GMA shows and travelled across the country for a series of out-of-town performances.

Production problem

Heard that Diether Ocampo has been a problem on the set of his TV show Apoy sa Dagat (Fire at Sea) where he co-stars with Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban. According to the grapevine, Ocampo is almost always late, and comes to the set unprepared.

Panganiban has hinted at this problem in her Instagram account a couple of days back when she said a co-actor on the show she’s in has become a problem for the production crew, including his co-stars. tabloid! tried to reach Ocampo for comment but it has so far been unsuccessful.
