Raffles Diamond Brunch
The Raffles roast is one of our favourite Friday brunches, so we’re excited that it’s going to be taken to the next level to celebrate the Queen’s 60 years on the throne. Held in the ballroom, there’ll be bunting (translation: lots of mini flags strung up everywhere), communal tables that seat 30, and a fish market and pie shop, as well as live carving stations serving royal-worthy roasts. Oh, and one punter will win a trip to London for two, while another will win a diamond ring worth Dh10,600. Pip pip!
Cost Dh150 for children six-11, and Dh475 with house beverages

Grand Hyatt Jubilee Street Party
By street, the hotel means a lavish summer tent, which will house an afternoon of quintessentially English activities, and entertainment. There will be a fancy dress competition – we’ll be heading to Reiss and going as Kate Middleton, natch – an all-you-can-eat-buffet with Brit-cuisine, free-flowing tipples and the best British music from indie to disco to Madchester.
Cost Free for children under four; Dh150 for children four-12; Dh350 with soft drinks and Dh450 with house beverages.

Imperium Mad Hatter’s Event, Zabeel Saray
This regal, chandelier-lit brunch will be serving its usual fare, plus British classics – with a modern twist – to celebrate the Jubilee. There’s also a Mad Hatter’s competition, where the best hat will win a night’s stay at the hotel, the second finest will scoop dinner for two at Amala, and the third, an afternoon tea. And the fun doesn’t stop there, post-brunch all punters will get two-for-one drinks deals at the futuristic Voda Bar from 4pm-9pm.
Cost Dh275 with soft drinks, Dh395 with house beverages and Dh550 with bubbles.

A British Beach Party
Barasti will celebrate the special event not only by serving up plenty of brews, but also projecting all the major events from back in the UK onto their big screen – such as The Epson Derby, the Buckingham Palace Lunch, the Thames River Pageant – which features over 1,000 boats – and more. It’ll be like being there, but hotter!

Street Party At Emirates Towers
The indoor walkway that is The Boulevard at Emirates Towers will transform into a jolly good celebration of all things British next Saturday. There’ll be a games area for kids – with castles, competitions, special menus in the restaurants, a Queen impersonator, plus a jazz band – and all guests will enjoy a cocktail in The Ivy. This is topped off with an afternoon tea that’s sure to include more scones than you could throw a Crown Jewel at, and plenty of cucumber sandwiches without the crusts.
Cost Free for children under three, Dh100 per child over three and Dh200 for adults
The Boulevard, Jumeirah Emirates Towers | All day, Saturday, June 2 | 04 319 8088
