Katy Perry — in her second year hosting the MTV Europe Awards — is setting the bar high for other awards presenters with her fabulous outfits, including one calculated to get her firmly in boyfriend Russell Brand's good books.

The Waking Up In Vegas star wore no less than 12 different outfits during the awards, which took place in Berlin and honoured Europe's favourite musicians. She began the show with a Cabaret-inspired sequence, donning a bowler hat, bow tie, bodice and thigh-high boots, performing a routine on chairs in tribute to Liza Minelli's 1972 film about Berlin in the 1930s.

The singer, famous for her outrageous takes on retro fashion, also wore a lingerie look in the colours of West Ham football club, the English team supported by Brand. Taking to Twitter, the comedian said, ‘Wow. Now MY GIRLFRIEND has worn a West Ham basque while hosting the EMAs. What a day!"

Perry, who regularly attends fashion week in New York and Paris, surprised guests with a full-length ballgown from Dutch duo Viktor and Rolf — with two gaping holes in the skirt. The singer also wore a pink gown with black embroidery by Marchesa, a red velvet jacket and suspenders combo, and a nearly-nude bra look.

Hot n Cold - Katy Perry: Looks like Perry left everyone decided hot in 2009. After releasing an MTV Unplugged album at the end of the year, you'll next hear from her in Timbaland's upcoming single If We Ever Meet Again. She's also working on a new album.
David Hasselhoff- More popular in Germany as a singer than as an actor, Hasselhoff returned to Berlin for the awards show, 20 years after giving a legendary performance at the Brandenburg Gate. On December 31, 1989, the Hoff, wearing a leather jacket with flashing lights attached, performed Looking for Freedom in front of half a million people.
Shakira-The Colombian beauty traded in her curly locks for a more grungy look on stage and straightened her hair for the red carpet.
