Actor says courts making an example of his drug-addicted son Cameron

Hollywood star Michael Douglas claims his drug addict son has been made an example of by the courts because of his famous name.
Cameron Douglas, 34, was sentenced to five years in prison in 2010 for selling methamphetamine from a Manhattan hotel room.
Last month he was given an additional five-year term after being caught arranging for drugs to be smuggled in to him in jail.
His father, 68, once claimed that prison could be a “blessing in disguise” for Cameron, who has also struggled with heroin addiction.
But the Wall Street actor said in an interview with New York Magazine: “I have gone from being a very disappointed but loving father who felt his son got what was due him to realising that Lady Justice’s blindfold is really slipping.
I’m not defending Cameron as a drug dealer or drug addict, but I believe, because of his last name, that he’s been made an example.”
Michael had Cameron with first wife Diandra. He has two more children with second wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
