Action series stars Rannvijay Singh and Adah Sharma

Packed with action, thrills, suspense and emotions, Pukaar — Call for the Hero was launched with its star cast on Wednesday.
Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the show stars Rannvijay Singh and Adah Sharma who are making their TV acting debut with the action mini-series.
The show, which will be aired on Life OK, centres around the protagonist, Major Rajveer Shergill, played by Singh, whose responsibilities are not only limited to his country and his family but also to normal people.
The action series also stars actor-politician Raj Babbar who will play the role of Rajveer’s father. Also, actors Prashant Narayan, Kiran Karmarkar, Shubhangi Atre and Vipin Sharma can be seen in pivotal roles.
“Pukaar is our tribute to the Indian army and we are extremely proud of our association with Vipul Shah who masters this genre. The viewers will get to see a different style of action rarely explored on the small screen,” Ajit Thakur, general manager at Life OK, said.
The 12-week series will telecast 24 episodes starting from November 24.
Vipul Shah, who is also directing the show, said Singh was a perfect fit for the character as he comes from an army background. He also said that with Pukaar, he intends to raise the bar of action to a different level altogether for the small screen.
Deven Bhojani has co-directed the show.
