Majid attends lecture by Egyptian scholar

Dubai: Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, attended a lecture on Wednesday evening by Zaghloul Al Najjar, Head of the Scientific Incapacitation Committee at the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Egypt.

The lecture was part of a series of which is being organised by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, at the Dubai Culture and Science Theatre in Al Mamzar.

Al Najjar's lecture, which was delivered on the fourth day of the award's activities, was titled "The Scientific Incapacitation of scenes from the day after in the Quran and Sunna".

Al Najjar said that the world today lives in a materialistic civilisation, hence its needs to cultivate the spiritual aspects of life through contemplating the Holy Quran.
