Happy ever after
Syrian singers Asala and Mayada Al Hinawi have finally made up. Earlier, the two were portrayed in highly publicised arguments during which they described each other as spinster and crippled. Like a fairytale with a happy ending, the two finally appeared hand in hand on an episode of the famous TV show Taratata on Dubai TV and sang one another's songs. They also talked with great respect about each other's talent.
Still recovering
Majid Al Muhadis's manager said the Iraqi singer's health is improving and although he can't talk yet, he has awakened from his coma and can identify those around him. The singer was injured when he was vacationing with his family. The driver of his rented car lost control which caused the car to swerve and hit a fence. Al Muhandis is expected to make a full recovery within a few weeks, his manager said.
Yara stole my song
Kuwaiti artist Shams said she intends to sue Lebanese singer Yara over her new album Inta Mini. According to Shams, the second song of the album legally belongs to her. She bought the rights from the song's lyricist and composer over a year ago and wanted it to be part of her new album. How Yara ended up buying the same song is still unknown, but what we know is that Yara's new album, including the disputed song, was a success.
Samer: No Bab Al Fara
Syrian actor Samer Al Masri, star of the famous TV series Bab Al Hara, said he is not interested in taking part in the fourth season of the series, if one is produced. Samer said that acting in the first three parts was a great creative challenge which he enjoyed greatly. The fourth series, however, risks becoming a mere production game and the actor doesn't want to be part of this.
