YAL to get Hollywood internships

Dubai: Young Arab Leaders (YAL) and entertainment firm Marvel Studios yesterday said they will start a Hollywood academic internship programme for UAE professionals.

Marvel Studios, the American company that licenses comic characters like Spiderman, will allow sponsored internship students interested in film studio production, directing, editing, script writing, publishing, animation and marketing careers to work directly under its staff.

"The alliance between Young Arab Leaders and Marvel Studios marks the first of its kind in the world. Through this agreement we will be opening great opportunities for young students and professionals in the Emirates," YAL UAE chapter vice-chairman Mohammad Khammas said.
