Abu Dhabi: Garden View Hotel Apartments, built at a cost of Dh85 million, was inaugurated here on Wednesday by Shaikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).

Speaking to Gulf News Shaikh Sultan said on the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony: "There's an urgent need for more capacity hotels and service apartments."

He said the capacity and quality of the service apartments have to be world class to be able to cater to the demand.

Located on Khalifa Street, Garden View Hotel Apartments is owned by the Al Fahim Group conglomerate. It faces the Capital Park and residents get a view of the Abu Dhabi Corniche as well.

"The project started in early 2007 and is now complete. There are 42 units in all - 21 three-bedroom suites and 21 four-bedroom suites," said Zakaria Al Hashdi, general manager of the Grand View Hotel Apartments.

"We are targeting the high-end society who value luxury as our customers," he added.

To rent a three bedroom suite in Grand View, a customer will have to pay Dh3,500 per night in addition to a 10 per cent service charge and a 6 per cent tourism fee on the basic tariff, said Al Hashdi.

He added that for a 4 bedroom suite the tariff for one night is Dh4,500, in addition to service charges and tourism fees.

The Grand View Hotel Apartments are equipped with a gymnasium, a swimming pool and an underground parking.
