This year, the cheapest ticket is priced at Dhs365
Dubai: This year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will have a bigger range of products for visitors, according to an official at a conference on Tuesday at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM).
“We were very fortunate for the success of last year. Hopefully you will find a whole range of products that’s newly developed [this year]…there will be more offerings for visitors,” said Al Tarek Al Ameri, senior director-commercial at Yas Marina Circuit.
The annual event, which takes place at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit, will offer “70 per cent more products on sale” this year, from last year, said Nick McElwee, director-marketing at Yas Marina Circuit.
This year, the cheapest ticket is priced at Dhs365, far less than last year’s cheapest which stood at Dh2,000 (Dh1600 on discount). These tickets are for the new Abu Dhabi Hill and it gives access to the Grand Prix.
Another new product is The Lounge, an air conditioned suite, where visitors can buy food and beverages throughout the day.
This year’s event will also have a family ticket.
The Yas pass, another new product, gives access to Ferrari World and the Yas Waterworld, which is available at a premium and a standard price.
Additionally, there will be a Friday Brunch Ticket and other options including the Yas Trackside Terrace.
The new products offer “a bigger range of prices” for visitors, said McElwee.
He added that capacity is up 10 per cent this year, which is mainly driven by Abu Dhabi Hill.
Meanwhile, the event will focus on attracting visitors from the GCC. One way of achieving this is to develop entertainment products that cater to them, according to Mubarak Rashid Al Nuaimi, director of promotion and overseas offices at Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority.
