MoU signed to establishment joint committee for cooperation

Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, met with Singapore’s Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry today, the two ministers exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, as well as a number of issues of common interest.

He stressed the UAE’s keenness on enhancing the prospects of cooperation with Singapore, and the importance of strengthening and promoting economic relations, and promoting joint investments between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, investment and renewable energy.

At the end of the meeting, Shaikh Abdullah and Shanmugam signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a joint committee for cooperation between the UAE and Singapore.

The memorandum aims to promote closer ties of friendship and development of bilateral relations in various fields on the basis of achieving mutual benefits of common goals between the two parties.
