Lebanese confectionery producer Patchi has a strong presence in the UAE as the company has a manufacturing site in Al Quoz in Dubai.
Other production sites are located in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Egypt.
The company was established in 1974 and has more than 140 boutiques in 35 countries. The confectionery is made from finest ingredients offering a variety of 30 fillings.
The cocoa used originates from the world's leading cocoa producer, while other ingredients are imported from Europe. Recipes mix almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts with milk or dark chocolate.
Patchi has ambitious expansion plans. New sales outlets will be opened in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan; outlets in Japan, the Philippines, Iraq, Syria and Egypt are in the negotiating phase.
Patchi is offering a comprehensive franchise model for partners, which includes all the company's products. Patchi is not only producing chocolate and sweets, but also glassware, silver items, corporate gifts, baby toys and diverse chocolate arrangements.
Patchi also creates chocolates customised to local tastes and for local events and festivals.
Last year, Patchi tied up with retailer Harrod's to sell the most expensive box of chocolate ever, a box carved out of genuine leather and refined hand-made silk from India and China, containing 49 chocolates placed on suede, separated individually by gold and platinum linings.
They are wrapped in the classic gold foil, and topped off with a silk rose or Swarovski crystal rose. The price of the luxury package: £5,000 (Dh30,500).
