Dubai: The Middle East International Motor Show 2007 will feature 10 of the world's fastest production cars. The ninth edition of show will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 14-18.

"Motor enthusiasts will see the best in performance, technology and design. We are delighted that the Dubai Motor Show will once again be the first to introduce many of these vehicles to the Middle East markets" said Helal Saeed Al Merri, Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre, the show's organiser.

The leader of the pack will be the Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo from Shelby Supercars, which recently screamed into the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest production car in the world.

This custom-built supercar clocked a scorching 413 kilometre per hour (kmph) at a test site in Washington, comfortably beating all previous records. The Dubai Motor Show will be the first time the Aero will be on public display since breaking the world record.

Former title holder Bugatti Veyron 16/4 which held the crown for two years, with a top speed of 407 kmph, is just behind. Touching 0 to 100 kmph in 2.5 seconds, it is even faster than the Ultimate Aero.

The Koenigsegg CCX rounds off the top three at the show. Over the last few months, the Koenigsegg CCX was awarded the Sportscar of the Year title, and set a new lap record on BBC's popular Top Gear show.

The show will also feature legendary cars such as the Ferrari Enzo and Pagani Zonda, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640. Other super cars in the lineup include the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren, Ford GT and Porsche 911 GT2. Apart from the established names in speed, the show will feature concept cars such as the revolutionary KTM X-Bow.

Weighing just 700 kilograms and clocking 0 to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds flat, the X-Bow offers the driver the immediacy of a power motorcycle ride within the comfort of a car.

Over 90,000 visitors are expected to attend the Middle East International Motor Show 2007, and with these awesome thoroughbred machines on display, every one will be taking back some unforgettable, memories of this spectacular event.
