Dubai: Kuwait's stock market halted trading on Thursday after a court order, according to a bourse spokesman.
The bourse stopped trading after investors won a court ruling to suspend trading until November 17 to safeguard their investments from further losses.
Meanwhile, Kuwait's finance minister criticised as "dangerous" the court ruling to suspend trading, but said the decision would be upheld, the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The agency did not give further details.
Kuwait's stocks fell by almost a third since the beginning of the 2008.
