Karachi : Pakistani stocks ended almost flat on yesterday as cautious investors stuck to the sidelines on security fears, dealers said.

The Karachi Stock Exchange, KSE benchmark 100-share index ended 0.09 per cent, or 8.53 points, higher at 9,096.23 on turnover of 69.95 million shares.

"It was another lacklustre day as investors continued to remain on the sidelines which was reflected in the turnover," said Saleem Moon, managing director at Moonaco Securities Ltd.

Dealers said turnover was low on security worries as militants have killed hundreds of people in bombings since the army launched an offensive in the South Waziristan region in October.

Four people, including two policemen, were wounded in a roadside bomb blast in the city of Peshawar yesterday.
