Money transfers via mobiles as UAE moves to m-commerce
Dubai: UAE residents will no longer have to queue in banks or exchange houses to remit money as the country moves to m-commerce.
The mobile phone will do the needful as etisalat has already started a mobile money transfer pilot project, which will be unveiled next week.
"Etisalat is focusing on a number of payment options over the mobile phone, which will enable customers to use their phones as an electronic wallet," a statement said.
It is unclear how much the service will cost.
