Azal to introduce Clerc line in Dubai

Dubai: Azal, Al Tayer Insignia's multi-brand store with a portfolio of leading fine jewellery and luxury watch brands, is bringing the Geneva-based Clerc brand to Dubai.

Shireen Al Khatib, CEO of Al Tayer Insignia, said of the exclusive launch: "It's a truly exceptional marque with a rich heritage and a unique and authentic style, and we look forward to presenting their exciting range of models to connoisseurs who will appreciate these distinctive one-of-a-kind creations."

The Clerc line will be available exclusively at all Azal stores in Dubai.

Clerc was founded in Paris in 1874 but Gerald Clerc has tried to give fresh impetus to the brand with an internationally recognised style signature.

A firm believer that new creations must represent a break with what already exists, the designer lent an entirely new shape - taking cues from a combination of a circle and a perfect square - to his first collection, launched in 1998. The patented innovation was duly recognised as such by connoisseurs.

His creations launched at Basel this year, evocatively named Odyssey and Hydroscaph, are no different. The Odyssey's design was inspired by space research and exploration.

The Hydroscaph is a powerful and complex futuristic diving instrument designed to withstand extreme weather conditions and features a world-first adaptable lugs mechanism ensuring a perfect fit on the wrist.
