Ras Al Khaimah: The Civil Aviation Department here announced on Thursday it will set up an air cargo service company and construct a new cargo terminal at the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
Shaikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who is head of the Civil Aviation Department, said, "The setting up of the new air cargo service company will be commenced soon, following the steps of other emirates."
He was speaking yesterday during the third annual general meeting of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism and Cargo Agents Business Group (RAKTAG).
Shaikh Salem said the Department of Civil Aviation is working hard to organise the performance of the emirate's base of travel agents, tour operators and cargo agents.
