Jazeera Airways orders more Airbus A320s

Dubai: Jazeera Airways has signed a deal to buy 30 Airbus A320 aircrafts, which will quadruple the Dubai-based airline's total number of A320 aircrafts from 10 to 40.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony at the 47th International Paris Air show.

“We have very ambitious growth plans at Jazeera Airways and Airbus has been a good partner for us all the way," said Marwan Boodai, Chairman of Jazeera Airways.

"We started operating in October 2005 with our first A320 aircraft and now we operate five. The A320 is proving to be an exceptional aircraft for us and for our growth plans,'' he said.

Jazeera Airways, a Kuwait Public Shareholding Company established in 2004, placed its first order for 10 Airbus A320 aircraft shortly after it completed its IPO in June 2004.
