Dubai: Etihad Airways yesterday said it has slashed many fares by about 50 per cent for travel during Ramadan and the autumn period.

"The special promotion, which runs from September 1 to November 10, sees prices to popular destinations like London reduced by 52 per cent to Dh1,900," the company said in a statement.

"All prices exclude taxes. The travel and sale period is from September 1 to November 10. Three days from October 1 to 3 is excluded from the special offer. Outbound travel must be completed by October 10."

Geert Boven, Etihad's executive vice president of sales and services, said, "The month of Ramadan is a very special time for people living and working in the UAE and the Middle East and Etihad is proud to unveil these great value fares that will provide customers with the opportunity to visit family and friends who live abroad."

"In order to open the promotion up to as many people as possible we have extended the sales period though to November 10, which will especially benefit those who are unable to travel during Ramadan," he added.
