Air India Express widens network

Dubai: Air India Express has announced three new destinations Mangalore, Amritsar and Delhi to meet the market demand.

Effective October 3, direct services will begin to these destinations.

The Mangalore flight will meet the long standing demand of passengers hailing from north Kerala and from north Karnataka.

The three-times-a-week service to the city of the Golden Temple, Amritsar, and onward to Delhi, will cater to the requirements of North Indians for a direct service at affordable fares.

Dubai will now be linked to six destinations by Air India Express, the budget carrier of India, namely Kozhikode, Kochi, Trivandrum, Mangalore, Amritsar and Delhi.

The expansion of Air India Express, which commenced operations on April 29, 2005, with operations to only three Kerala cities, has been accelerated with the addition of these new destinations.

Summer schedule

The airline services four stations in the UAE, namely Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

In India the stations on the airline's map include Kozhikode, Kochi, Trivandrum and, effective October 3, Mangalore, Amritsar and Delhi.

The flights are available for sale on the summer schedule, that is until October 28, at a very attractive inaugural fare of Dh299.
