Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi's AD Mobility has announced upcoming road and traffic closures in the emirate. Motorists are advised to plan ahead for their journeys and remain cautious while driving.
A weekend road closure on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road in Abu Dhabi will occur from Friday, May 17 to August 2024. As part of this closure, the transport authority has announced the temporary partial closure of the two right lanes heading towards Abu Dhabi. The closure will be in effect from Friday, May 17 at 10 pm until Monday, May 20 at 6:00 am.
3-month road closure in Al Ain
Meanwhile in Al Ain, the AD Mobility has also announced a partial closure of roads for three months, starting from Wednesday, May 15.
The authority shared details of the closures, specifically the partial closure of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, on its social media platforms.
This partial closure will be in place from May 15, 2024, to Sunday, August 11, 2024. The routes highlighted in red on social media maps will be affected, while those in green will operate as usual.
Other road closures in Al Ain
In addition to this, AD Mobility has also implemented partial closures on two key roads in Al Ain for a month starting May 12:
Maitha bint Mohammed Street in Al Ain
This closure will affect the two left lanes in both directions and will remain in effect until Sunday, June 16.
Hazza bin Sultan Street
This closure will also impact the two left lanes in both directions and will continue until Wednesday, June 12.
The authority has urged motorists to drive cautiously and abide by traffic rules and regulations in order to ensure the safety of all road users.
